While Seminyak has numerous beaches, Double Six Beach is one of the most popular in Bali. With a 500-meter stretch of sand, the beach is a favourite for locals and tourists alike. During the day, you can soak up the sun with sun loungers and umbrellas available to rent, go surfing, jogging along the beach, or play a game of beach tennis with the locals. When the sun sets, hit the beach section of Jalan Double Six, which is lined with busy beach bars and restaurants and watch an incredible sunset.

Take a Nusa Penida snorkelling tour on a private boat 

Explore the beautiful underwater coral reefs with a snorkelling tour of several spots on a private boat. You’ll have the chance to swim with giant manta rays and see rainbow-coloured fish as you visit Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, and Angel’s Billabong. What better way to ensure this is a hens getaway that no one will forget than with a relaxing and rejuvenating spa day? While there are numerous places for you and your besties to indulge in a spa day in Seminyak, our favourite is Bodyworks Bali, where you can experience traditional Balinese, Thai, or Hot Stone massages. There’s also a wide range of facials to cleanse, exfoliate and restore your skin. You can have hair treatments and ensure you’re sitting pretty with perfectly manicured nails.

Visit Petitenget Temple

Petitenget Temple dates back to 1876 and is one of the few cultural landmarks in Seminyak. Referred to as ‘Pura Petitenget’ by locals, the temple has red bricks and sandstone, giving it an antique feel. There’s a vast courtyard with a dozen shrines and small pavilions draped in typical Balinese chequered cloths. It’s well worth a visit, but remember, ladies, you can’t wear short shorts or miniskirts – only skirts or shorts down to the knee are acceptable.

Immerse yourself in art at the DMZ 3D Art Museum

If you’re ready for your selfie, then we have the perfect spot – the Dream Museum Zone (DMZ). This interactive art gallery showcases 220 immersive and life-sized wall paintings created by a team of local and Korean artists. These artworks create unique 3D effects that are so Insta-worthy. There’s also a refreshment centre where you can get drinks and snacks and a gift shop where you can print your photos on T-shirts and mugs. 

Learn to surf at Petitenget Beach

If you’re looking to learn how to surf, then head to Petitenget Beach for a lesson at the Bali Green Surf School. The local surf school in Seminyak offers professional and highly skilled surf instructors who teach beginners and intermediate surfers how to ride the waves like a pro – and ensure you have a fun experience. What makes this surf school different is that you not only learn to surf in Bali, but some of the costs of your lessons go directly to support local orphanages – how cool is that?

Enjoy an evening of Bali Traditional Dance

Delve into Indonesia’s cultural heritage by watching three traditional Balinese dance performances. Taman Sari Market is one of the most popular markets in Seminyak. Known by locals as Pasar Taman Sari, the night market starts around sunset. You’ll find locals shopping for fresh tropical fruits and vegetables at low prices. With everyone from locals to hotel staff getting their supplies from the market, there are bargains galore – a $1 purchase can often get you a full bag of fresh produce. You’ll also get the chance to tuck into traditional Indonesian fare like bakso (meatball soup), grilled satay, and rice porridge at the food carts located at the markets.
